Welcome!
Aquidneck Food Pantry, formerly known as the St. John’s Lodge Food Bank, is a local food resource located in Portsmouth, RI, with amazing volunteers and services for our community.
Our Mission
Our mission is to help needy individuals and families in our community by providing nourishing food in a welcoming environment and by educating local businesses, organizations, and the general public about the often-unseen problem of food insecurity in Portsmouth and surrounding area.
Holiday Announcement
In recent weeks, the Aquidneck Food Pantry has seen a surge in families seeking assistance. The government shutdown and its impact on SNAP benefits have left many in our community struggling.
We are now serving over 200 families each week, and our shelves are stretched thin.
How You Can Help:
Donate non-perishable food items: canned goods, pasta, rice, cereal, peanut butter, and more.
Make a monetary contribution: every dollar helps us purchase fresh food and protein-based products.
Spread the word: share this message with friends, neighbors, and local organizations and businesses.
Together, we can ensure that no family on Aquidneck Island goes hungry.
